Full-time: 35 Hours per week, Fixed Term 6 months

The School of Engineering and Computing has an outstanding reputation for its engagement with industry. With a growing international reputation, we pride ourselves on teaching and research excellence. We ensure the synergy between education, research and practice is at the forefront of all we do. We are therefore delighted to have won funding for graduate level apprenticeships (GLA). This post will involve working in partnership with programme teams to support the development and implementation of digitally-enhanced teaching, learning and assessment materials, including the use of e-portfolio systems. You will also support the development, maintenance and enhancement of the Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle).

As a key contact you will act as a source of technological expertise within the School ensuring the needs and expectations of end users are met, actively promoting and supporting the use of current and emerging online learning tools, software and emerging technologies in teaching and learning.

An innovative professional you will also demonstrate creativity in maintaining the School web pages and School-focused social media sites in relation to the GLAs and other relevant School programmes. You will have excellent influencing and communication skills, both written and oral, and a demonstrable ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff to embed the sustainable use of learning technologies.

Educated to degree level you will have experience in an IT/web/E-learning environment. The successful candidate will be based at our Hamilton Campus with the requirement to travel to other campuses.
