Applications are invited to join the Neuroepidemiology and Ageing Research Unit (NEA) in the School of Public Health. This post will be based at Imperial White City campus and Charing Cross Hospital campus, Hammersmith.

With a rapidly ageing population, dementia has become a major focus of public health interest, leading to significant investments in studies and interventions worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity to work with healthy older volunteers interested in research participation from the CHARIOT: Cognitive Health in Ageing Register, and manage set up and delivery of longitudinal studies and clinical dementia prevention trials.

The successful post holder will have strong operational and organisational skills, and a clear understanding of all aspects of set up, delivery, and closure of clinical research studies, including review of protocols for feasibility and planning and working to procedures. The post holder will be responsible for management of all administrative duties required for the effective execution of clinical trials and studies under their remit at the NEA Unit. Duties will include liaising with Sponsors and ethics committees, preparing for monitoring visits, and ensuring required site file and essential documents are in place. It will also involve supporting specific projects and putting in place efficient processes.

Proven experience of working within a health research setting in a project management and administrative capacity is vital. Applicants should hold a relevant University degree or equivalent knowledge / experience and be Good Clinical Practice certified.

This is a full time post for a fixed term until 30th June 2018 in the first instance.
