An exciting opportunity for the position of the Head of Biorisk Management has arisen within the Safety Department at Imperial College London. A world-class institution embodying education and research in science, medicine, engineering and business, management with particular regard to their application in industry and healthcare. The Safety Department supports the College in this mission by advising on and monitoring safe systems by which to undertake its wide variety of innovative and unique scientific activities.

Applications are invited for the full-time post of Head of Biorisk Management to support the Safety Department providing professional and technical advice on all health and safety matters of work with biological agents. This is a high visibility leadership role with a far reaching remit that requires an individual who is able to operate at both a strategic and operational level.

The successful applicant will require the practical application of design, implementation and monitoring of the Biorisk Management systems and will have good working knowledge of general health & safety legislation. The post includes a wide range of responsibilities and duties and requires the post-holder to be highly organised and focused on delivering objectives to defined timescales.

This post-holder will report to the Director of Safety and will form part of an enthusiastic team of safety specialists.
