Clinical Research Co-ordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Research Co-ordinator to join us from 1st November or as soon as possible after that date.

The purpose of the role is to facilitate the development of a robust clinical research programme within the Queens Veterinary School Hospital.

The role-holder will work in the Queens Veterinary School Hospital to support the development of clinical research within the hospital. The core responsibilities of this position will include technical assistance with clinical research procedures, preparation of compliance documentation (e.g. ethics applications), client communication and data capture/analysis/reporting.

The post-holder will be expected to oversee the appropriate invoicing for their time against either client hospital bills or research grant. The post-holder will also have overall responsibility for maintaining and calibrating equipment used in the support of clinical research, including the gait analysis laboratory, BOAS and urodynamics instrumentation, and the shockwave unit.

In early 2018, the role holder will take on line management and supervisory responsibility for one member of staff.

The successful candidate will have a veterinary nursing qualification and have experience with clinical research procedures such as gait analysis, BOAS assessment and urodynamics.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same, so we are seeking someone with a passion for nursing, with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, students and clients. The ability to work within a team and work well under pressure are essential.
