The role holder will ensure all staff are fully conversant with the University's financial procedures and regulations and will lead on the induction process for all new joiners with financial responsibility. The role holder will supervise two Senior Accounts Clerks, will also provide support to the School's Finance Manager with inputs to the annual budgeting and planning cycle, ad hoc analysis of expenditure and assistance with specific projects and requests for costing, budgeting and financial decision support.

Ideally the successful candidate will be educated to HND, HNC, level 4/5 vocational qualification or will have equivalent level of practical experience. They will have a solid experience in an accounts/administrative based environment and have experience in using standard Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel. Evident factual and theoretical knowledge of finance administration and high level of accuracy and attention to detail are prerequisites for this role.
