Project Administrator (Part Time)

We are looking for a new member of the Business Partnerships and Enterprise (BPE) team embedded within the School of Computing and Communications. As part of the BPE team, you will be responsible for providing a full administration service supporting the business engagement activities for the School.

The BPE team cover a range of activity engaging with external organisations for the purposes of student experience, developing research opportunities and working with business and social organisations. Example activities include the arrangement and support of student industrial placements, the development of new technology from School research and the provision of digital expertise delivery to organisations via large publically funded projects. The team is constantly evolving, with new programmes becoming active, often requiring the development of new administrative processes and systems.

You will be a confident and motivated individual able to provide a full administration service that supports the team’s activity. The primary focus of the role will be the administration of government funded projects which include external partners (e.g. ERDF) but will also encompass the daily administration of the team office, it’s systems and procedures. You should be able to demonstrate attention to detail, a high level of accuracy and excellent organisational and communication skills. You should also be able to demonstrate experience of financial management on large projects and ensure the adherence to the strict audit requirements of the team’s funded projects.

This post is offered on a 0.8FTE basis (29.25 hours per week) until 30 September 2020 and is part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
