Senior Research Associate

The School of Economics is seeking to appoint a Senior Research Associate who will contribute to the School’s research in the field of sustainable development by producing original research, participating in School events, and expanding the School’s collaboration with national and international partners. The post holder will support and participate in the School’s grant bidding activities. The post holder’s responsibilities will include identifying suitable funding opportunities and project partners; contributing to the writing of applications; and managing communication between the School and external project team members. Where appropriate, the post holder will be encouraged to take a leadership role in the application process. 

You must have a PhD or equivalent qualification, in a relevant area (awarded or to be submitted not later than 4 months after commencing in post and it being awarded within one year of commencement in post) and be able to satisfy all other essential criteria in the person specification for the post.

The post is available on a full-time, fixed-term basis for 18 months from 2 January 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter. 

The School of Economics is a Bronze Athena Swan Award holder, currently working towards Silver.
