Personal Assistant

The Department of Primary Care Health Sciences is a world-class research department with a busy, friendly administration team.

We are looking to recruit a highly organised, proactive personal assistant to deliver a high level of direct support to Professor Paul Aveyard and Professor Susan Jebb, and aid the efficient working of the Health Behaviours research team.

The role will include diary and communications management, organising complicated itineraries, arranging travel, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, assisting with the completion of funding applications, maintaining internal databases, and a wide range of other administrative support. You should be able to demonstrate excellent IT and communication skills.

You will need strong administration skills and either formal secretarial training or equivalent experience. You will need to be very organised and self-motivated, with a proactive, flexible, helpful and friendly approach that enables you to work effectively as part of a team and to liaise at all levels. You will have the ability to manage and prioritise a varied and busy workload and work to deadlines, along with excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy. You will set high standards and share best practice.

The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on Monday 13 November 2017. We expect to hold interviews on Wednesday 6 December 2017.
