Grade 6: £28,098 - £33,518 with a discretionary range to £36,613 p.a.

This exciting new post will have a wide range of responsibilities to support the delivery of quality assurance and enhancement, and graduate studies administration, within the Medical Sciences Division. The post holder will divide their time between two broad elements of work, with the balance of responsibilities varying in focus throughout the academic year.

The Education Support Officer will be responsible for a variety of activities to maintain and improve the quality and standards of degrees for which the Medical Sciences Division is responsible. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a small team of Graduate School Assistants involved with the processing of applications for admission to graduate study, and for the various stages of on-course progression for graduate students.

Amongst the essential criteria is the ability to work analytically and methodically with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The successful candidate will have the proven ability to work independently, proactively with strong organisational skills. Armed with excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will have confidence in handling large volumes of both quantitative data and qualitative information, with the ability to analyse and summarise data/information.
