Salary: £32,548 - £35, 550 pa with potential to progress to £38,833 by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience

FTE: Full time – working 37 hours a week (1.0 fte)

The University of Hertfordshire is currently looking for an experienced Development Officer (Trusts and Foundations) to join their team of dedicated fundraising professionals.

The post holder will be responsible for increasing philanthropic revenue from Trusts and Foundations in support of priority projects across the University – proactively scanning the landscape for prospective applications. They will also take responsibility for stewarding Trust and Foundation supporters in line with their respective requirements, as well as the University’s own developing programme of donor cultivation and stewardship. This will include attending events, publicising respective campaign support and regularly reporting back to the Trusts and Foundations as specified in their agreements.

The Development Officer (Trusts and Foundations) will build strong relationships with key internal and external contacts in this regard, constantly developing compelling written cases for support for successful funding applications.

The successful applicant will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with a proven track record of successful fundraising either in the Charity or Higher Education sector. You will also have specific experience of writing successful funding applications to Trusts and Foundations in addition to excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
