The salary will be paid at Grade 5, £28,098 to £29,799 per annum, plus £2,923 per annum London Allowance.

This post will be Fixed Term Contract for 2 years

This is a Full-Time/ 100 % full time equivalent

The Academic Department of Military Mental Health (ADMMH) within the Department of Psychological Medicine is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to contribute to a number of new and ongoing research projects.  ADMMH aims to gather, assess and report on information that will help to better understand and improve mental health and operational effectiveness of serving and ex-serving members of the UK Armed Forces. The primary responsibilities of the post holder will include leading in the production of systematic reviews, literature reviews and the annual Surgeon Generals Review, undertaking statistical analyses, writing reports and academic papers, data collection and data management, and some project related administration tasks.  The successful candidate will have a degree in epidemiology, statistics, or other relevant subject with a strong analytical component, some relevant research experience and excellent writing skills. A relevant Masters degree is not essential but would be an advantage. They will have experience of quantitative analyses and of using STATA.  They will be proactive and have a flexible approach to work with the willingness to undertake occasional travel.

The selection process will include a presentation and a panel interview.
