The Department of Psychology at Goldsmiths, University of London invites applications for PhD studentships in the academic year 2018-19.

The Department of Psychology is a thriving centre of excellence in research with over 150 postgraduates (including PhD and MSc students across 7 postgraduate programmes). In the 2014 Research Excellence (REF), the department was rated joint 3rd of UK psychology departments for research intensity or concentration of research excellence, with 78% of its research judged as world-leading or internationally excellent.

The Department’s research is structured around four research centres: Centre for Cognition and Neuroscience; Centre for Developmental and Educational Science; Centre for Forensic and Clinical Science; Centre for the Science of Creative and Performing Arts. We offer a lively research community and excellent facilities including well-equipped specialist laboratories for psychophysiological and experimental research (e.g. EEG laboratory equipped with multiple high- density EEG systems, eye tracking facilities, and stereotactic non-invasive brain stimulation laboratories). The department is part of the ESRC funded South East Network for Social Sciences (SeNSS; which provides excellent postgraduate training throughout the South East.
