This is a full time, permanent appointment within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.

Overall purpose of post: We are looking for an individual with an interdisciplinary background in Sport and Exercise Science, who has an interest in health and exercise across the lifespan. Applicants with a background in paediatric exercise science would be particularly welcome. As we have a number of degree elements, we would be interested in individuals who could also contribute to Sport and Exercise Nutrition or Strength and Conditioning for example.

You should have:

  • An MSc in Sport and Exercise Science or similar programme
  • Teaching experience and/or Training at undergraduate level in Higher Education
  • Ability to design, deliver and assess academic programmes
  • Evidence of research and/or scholarly activity, including peer reviewed publications.

You will be:

  • Teaching students using appropriate instruction methods such as lectures, tutorials, seminars, on-line learning and other formal pedagogic work
  • Working towards undertaking quality research (REF)
  • Professional publishing and scholarly activity as directed by the Programme Lead
  • Participating in the administrative processes of the Faculty, including committee membership, quality assurance, recruitment, selection and admission of students.
