Communications, Marketing and Events Manager

The Division of Surgery and Interventional Science has grown significantly, with plans for further expansion including significant development of its teaching programmes.

The role will specialise in developing and implementing the Division’s internal and external communications and marketing strategy, ensuring that the Division’s communication and marketing strategies, policies, and processes are effective and in line with UCL-wide practices. This will include developing, producing, and evaluating a communications programme that conveys key Division messages through a diverse set of communications material, along with marketing strategies designed to increase student numbers. The role will coordinate events for the Division (such as Away Days), deliver professional and inspiring events, and help to create a positive environment.

This post is open-ended.

The successful candidate will have track record in managing and delivering top quality strategic communications and large scale campaigns, and will have experience of producing communications materials (from concept to delivery) within tight deadlines. They will be able to show initiative, creativity, and a positive can-do attitude. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are key to the role, as are excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of websites, social media, and multimedia, and how they can be used for marketing.
