Research Finance Administator (Particle Physics) Grade 6

We are seeking an individual to be the first point of contact for research finance matters within the Particle Physics research group. Based in the Physics department, they will work on a daily basis directly with the Head of Particle Physics to support and administrate the group. They should have experience of financial grant administration. The group has a large and diverse portfolio of research and commercial grants and networks, and has experiments in the USA, Canada, Japan and Switzerland. You will be required to liaise with institutes, companies and organisations both within and outside of the UK. You will also provide administrative duties to the Particle Physics Group and be willing to support staff research activities. This will include making travel arrangements, organising conferences, arranging meetings and taking minutes. You will support the overall aims of the University to maintain and encourage research excellence.  You will be required to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with School Office staff, the University's Research Support Office (RSO) and other Central Professional Services departments as well as key external funding agencies. You should have 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics.  The post is available until 30 September 2019.
