Equality and Inclusion Adviser

University of Leeds - Corporate Services - Equality Policy Unit

Are you committed to accelerating and enhancing equality and inclusion? Do you have excellent relationship building skills? Would you like to develop policy and guidance to support staff and students?

Joining a small team, you will provide high quality specialist advice and develop policy and guidance to contribute to mainstreaming and embedding equality and inclusion throughout the University.  You will work in partnership with senior staff, staff and student networks, equality and inclusion (E&I) committees and other groups to identify and address areas of under-representation, share good practice and seek opportunities for the development of initiatives.

The Equality Policy Unit is the centre for policy development and providing expert advice on equality and inclusion.  It takes responsibility for leading implementation of the Equality and Inclusion Framework and Strategy and embedding it across the University, as well as promoting and supporting the University's aspiration to become a beacon of excellence in the higher education sector.

You will bring experience of providing advice and guidance in an equality and inclusion environment, have excellent interpersonal skills to build high quality relationships across the organisation, and have a strong commitment to enhancing equality and inclusion across the student and staff experience.
