The appointee will be expected to work with colleagues in both faculties (and the Centre for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning) to develop a school/community engagement agenda, aimed at promoting careers in STEM/Science Education, and at popularizing science among the wider community. The appointee will (i) teach the Bachelor of Education & Bachelor of Science (BEd&BSci) double degree programme (contributing in both faculties) as well as postgraduate programmes; (ii) work with Education/Science colleagues to develop Common Core Courses and an interdisciplinary Minor; (iii) engage in cross-faculty research; (vi) supervise student projects and theses; and (v) take up administrative responsibilities as required. Both Faculties are committed to gender equality and positively welcome applications from women as well as men.

A globally competitive remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, as well as annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
