The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £33,518 to £39,992 per annum, plus £2,923 per annum London Allowance.

This post will be Fixed Term Contract for 2 years

We are advertising three two year Research Associate (Postdoc) positions in the Theoretical Particle Physics and Cosmology Subgroup of the Department of Physics at King's College London.

Successful candidates will be expected to both collaborate with existing members of the group and to lead their own research projects in the following areas:-

The first postdoctoral position is funded by the group's STFC grant and the successful candidate will carry out research on particle astrophysics and cosmology, including both theoretical model building and phenomenological consequences, particularly concerning models of dark matter and inflation.

The other two positions are funded by the European Research Council Grant of Malcolm Fairbairn. The successful candidates can carry out research in a number of areas including Dark Matter particle phenomenology beyond the Standard Model, the behaviour of the electroweak sector in the early Universe and astrophysical probes of dark matter including the structure of galaxies.

We are particularly interested in candidates open to interacting with group members working on particle physics beyond the Standard Model, gravitational physics and applications of theoretical physics.

The selection process will include competency based questions and a panel interview.
