Project Coordinator – Supply Chains

The Department for Social Responsibility and Sustainability (SRS) is looking to appoint a Full Time Fixed Term (2 years) SRS Projects Coordinator focusing on supply chains as part of a programme on fair trade and sustainable procurement. The successful candidate will work with the Department for SRS, the Procurement Office, as well as Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges (APUC) procurement consortium to further develop and implement a database of supplier self-assessments, and to audit and monitor suppliers’ claims and progress regarding social responsibility and sustainability issues in supply chains. The post holder will undergo formal training on desk-based auditing.

The post holder is expected to have an understanding of social and environmental issues in supply chains and preferably public procurement, and is expected to work with a wide range of stakeholders (internally and externally). The University procures a wide range of goods and services, including electronics, construction services, food, and laboratory equipment/supplies.
