The University’s Department for Social Responsibility and Sustainability is looking to recruit a full time Engagement Manager to fill an upcoming vacancy. This is a key role within the Department for Social Responsibility and Sustainability contributing to the delivery of the Zero by 2040 Climate Strategy as well as the wider SRS commitments and targets. The position sits within the Programmes Unit of the Department, reporting to the Head of SRS Programmes and managing a team of four committed staff.

The Engagement Manager has direct responsibility for the coordination and delivery of programmes and projects with a focus on: Energy Engagement and Communications; Sustainable Labs; Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy and the Sustainability Awards. The role works closely with the Estates colleagues on Energy and Waste for the coordination of the Sustainable Campus Fund and behaviour change initiatives.  

Key areas of work include Energy Engagement and Communications, Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy and the Edinburgh Sustainability Awards.
