Postal Services Assistant

University of Reading - Campus Services

You will be working in the Postal Services section of the Campus Services Department, delivering a high quality inward and outward facing range of services.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of highly skilled professionals performing a wide range of tasks, ranging from serving customers in the Mail Shop to driving vans, delivering and collecting mail and parcels at all University sites and processing outgoing mail on PCs. This a role ideally suited to energetic pro-active, problem solvers with a conscientious approach to customer care.

You will work a 36 hour week, Monday to Friday, with varying start and finish times – no earlier than 8.30am or later than 6.00pm.

You will have:

  • A full clean driving licence
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Customer service experience
  • On-the-job manual-handling experience
  • Experience of team working
  • GCSE level attainment in English and Maths
