Adolescent Rheumatology Research Nurse

The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £34,365 - £41,864 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

The Arthritis Research UK Centre for Adolescent Rheumatology is the first of its kind in the World and has a mission statement to improve the health and well-being of young patients with arthritis and other rheumatic problems ( ). We are looking for a dynamic Research Nurse who will join this vibrant research and clinical Adolescent Rheumatology team at University College London (UCL) and University College London Hospital (UCLH) and be a key member of the Centre. S/he will support and coordinate cutting edge clinical studies that involve young patients with arthritis and other autoimmune rheumatic diseases such as lupus. This will involve recruiting and supporting young people and their families in studies and collecting and documenting data in accordance with the required governance standards. This post is funded for 4 months in the first instance.

S/he will have experience of processing human samples as well as database management. Applicants must have experience in venepuncture and intravenous cannulation and be RGN (child). This post is ideally suited to a dynamic individual who possesses a first class analytical aptitude and knowledge base, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills, who is able to work effectively within research teams spanning both academic and clinical environments.
