Media Relations Manager

The UCL Communications and Marketing division (CAM) is responsible for maintaining and developing the reputation and profile of the university as a world-leading organisation that is radical, dynamic and visionary. The Media Relations Managers plan and implement media relations strategies on a diverse range of issues, and working to deliver positive coverage of the university. To achieve this the post holder will work with the appropriate national, international, regional and local media to ensure that UCL’s key messages are delivered to its range of audiences.

The successful candidate should be educated to degree level or equivalent experience and have significant experience of working in media relations, Public Relations, journalism or another relevant communications discipline. The candidate should also have editorial experience of conveying subject matter concisely and compellingly to audiences with wide-ranging degrees of interest and expertise as well as excellent planning skills to enable news stories to be developed across a range of channels for appropriate audiences.
