Maintenance Tradesperson - Joinery

University of Nottingham - Estates Maintenance Services

A qualified and experienced Joiner is required to work within the Estates Department undertaking planned and reactive maintenance to University Buildings including student residences. You will liaise with customers and other University departments to ensure work is carried out in an efficient and cost effective manner and use mobile devices when completing pre and post task documentation to ensure records of work are maintained and accurate.

Candidates should be qualified to NVQ level 2 or equivalent in an appropriate woodworking discipline, have demonstrable post qualification experience including a thorough understanding of all aspects of commercial carpentry/joinery and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. As this role requires the post holder to drive between university sites a full current driving licence is also essential for this role unless disability precludes this.

Hours of work are 36.25 per week to be worked mainly Monday to Friday with flexibility to work weekends as required.
