The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £34,635 - 41,864 per annum , inclusive of London Allowance.

UCL Careers are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Global Internships Manager.  This is an exciting new role which has overall responsibility to design, develop and deliver a new Global Internships programme with ambitious targets.  The aim is to support increased global mobility for UCL students which is a key component of UCL’s commitment to internationalisation as part of UCL’s Global Engagement Strategy (GES). The role will be integral in shaping and delivering the pilot programme in the first year and will involve engaging and building relationships with employers to source global internships, marketing the opportunities to UCL students and liaising with other departments across UCL to ensure the programme fits within UCL’s wider strategic direction. Working with colleagues across UCL Careers, UCL Professional Services and Academic departments the role holder will ensure that opportunities meet compliance requirements and student engagement is heavily encouraged.  The role holder will help develop marketing material and resources to support the programme. The role is funded initially until July 2020. In the second and third year of the programme the role holder will line manage an Officer to ensure efficient delivery of the rest of the programme and support further international business development.

The ideal candidate for this role would have a track record of persuading and influencing stakeholders, building relationships with employers, and developing projects working with immediate and longer-term objectives and deadlines.  They would have strong organisational skills, be an effective communicator, and have experience of delivering against demanding targets.
