Employer Engagement Officer x2 posts

University of Gloucestershire - Future Plan

‘Providing a breadth and richness of experience that enables all our students to reach their full potential’ is a key Strategic Goal for the University of Gloucestershire. Our acclaimed Your Future Plan programme seeks to deliver a personalised programme of support to every student, equipping them to achieve their ideal future career.

We are seeking to appoint two Employer Engagement Officers to our Future Plan team who will forge and grow mutually-beneficial partnerships with regional & national employers that generate a range of transformative learning opportunities for our students. As an Employer Engagement Officer, you will source work placements, volunteering opportunities, mentors, contributors to curriculum and hosts of workplace visits. Based either at our Oxstalls campus in Gloucester or our Park campus in Cheltenham, you will be a frontline for our interaction with businesses and organisations, as well as collaborating with academic colleagues to ensure the opportunities you create are seized upon.

Candidates will be engaging and persuasive communicators who are experienced in negotiating, managing and evaluating win-win partnerships and projects. They will be familiar with current policies, challenges and opportunities related to the employability of graduates and to graduate recruitment. They will understand the needs of a diverse student population, as well as the priorities driving employers and will be capable of being diagnostic with academic colleagues who want to embed employability and work-based learning within their courses. They will be an organised self-starter who is comfortable working with targets.

If you are passionate about supporting the ambitions of students and employers, are partnership-minded and are committed to high professional standards, we want to hear from you.

Closing date: 12pm, 1 December 2017

Interviews: Week commencing 11 December 2017

The University understands the benefits of recruiting a diverse range of people and welcome applications from under-represented sections of the community.
