‘Providing a breadth and richness of experience that enables all our students to reach their full potential’ is a key Strategic Goal for the University of Gloucestershire. Our acclaimed Your Future Plan programme seeks to deliver a personalised programme of support to every student, equipping them to achieve their ideal future career.

We are seeking to appoint a part-time Careers Consultant to our Future Plan team who will liaise with academic colleagues to research, design, deliver and evaluate transformative careers & employability workshops, both within and beyond the curriculum. You will work with Academic Schools to translate the ambitions set out within their Employability Action Plans into reality. You will also provide high quality, personalised advice to students and graduates face-to-face, by e-mail and by telephone, supporting them to clarify & achieve their own distinctive career plans.

Candidates will hold a good honours degree and a relevant professional qualification in careers guidance. You will have substantial teaching or training experience, an awareness of the needs of a diverse student population and up-to-date knowledge of both careers & employability practice in higher education and trends within graduate recruitment and the graduate labour market. You will be customer-focused, collaborative and flexible, with a ‘can do’ attitude.
