Lecturer in Mathematics

The post-holder will work within the Engagement and Retention Service to teach mathematical subjects across a variety of disciplines (mainly at undergraduate level). This will include both in-school teaching for specific interventions in the curriculum and more generic workshops to be attended by students from all parts of the university. 

In addition the post holder will be expected to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate modules within the School of Computing and Engineering commensurate with technical knowledge and prior experience, mainly in the subject areas of mathematics and statistics.

The post-holder will hold a first degree in mathematics and be a fellow of the Higher Education Academy or hold an equivalent teaching qualification (or be willing to obtain this within their first 12 months of employment).

Please be advised that it is expected that appointment within a grade will normally be at the minimum point.

Interviews are scheduled to take place week commencing Monday 18 December 2017.
