China Queen’s College (CQC), has been established by Queen’s University Belfast in the People’s Republic of China (PRC) through a long-standing friendship between Queen’s School of Pharmacy and the China Medical University (CMU), one of the foremost medical universities in China. CQC is a College that has the full approval from the China Ministry of Education (MoE) and has been created in accord with the MoE ‘Cooperation in Running Schools’ (CIRS) Regulations.

CQC recruits students from the top tier (Band 1) Gaokao examinations in China and delivers Queen’s degrees complying with UK Quality Assurance standards in high-quality purpose built facilities on CMU’s new campus in Shenyang, Capital of Liaoning Province. Since the launch of the College in 2014, there are approximately 280 students studying various courses and it is projected that by 2018/19 the CQC population will reach 400 undergraduate students taking a range of Queen’s University undergraduate degree programmes.

As part of our ongoing international activity Queen’s University Belfast wishes to make an important appointment to its new venture at China Queen’s College (CQC) at the China Medical University new campus, Shenyang, Peoples Republic of China. The English Language Teaching Associate will be a member of staff of Queen’s University Belfast and will be based in Belfast and Shenyang, China depending on the teaching requirements of the post. The purpose of the position is to provide English Language instruction to students at China Queen’s College.

The successful candidate must have:

  • A degree.
  • Have Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Certificate (or equivalent qualification).
  • In country Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
