The post is available for 12 months to perform experiments on rice and to analyse the resulting processed rice for arsenic species by IC-ICP-MS. The project is to look at how rice processing and cooking can be used to reduce the arsenic burden of rice.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Normally have or be about to obtain a relevant PhD.
  • Three year relevant research experience to include experience of arsenic speciation by HPLC-ICP-MS.

Anticipated interview date: Wednesday 20 December 2017

Salary scale: £32,548 - £42,418 per annum (including contribution points)
