We’re looking for an experienced Development Officer to manage a portfolio of leadership giving prospects to deliver philanthropic support for the School.

The Role

Inspire Individuals Around the World

Our Advancement team supports our ambitious growth strategy by engaging with the School community through multi-faceted alumni programmes and raising funds from alumni, friends, corporations, foundations and trusts. Joining the Major Gifts team as Development Officer, you’ll play a major role in our fundraising efforts by building important, long-term relationships and promoting the image of the School. You’ll follow a highly successful campaign that has raised over £125 million and 124,000 volunteer hours. You’ll help to shape the future of our global business as you:

• Develop comprehensive plans for discovery, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of alumni and friends to maximise income, resources and profile
• Meet realistic visit goals and fundraising targets
• Manage and strategically review a personal portfolio 
• Develop the prospect pipeline 
• Work as a team player across the Advancement team
• Follow proper procedures and protocols, including Raiser’s Edge

We generate research and ideas that have a real, lasting influence on people, businesses and markets around the world. To do that, we have to make sure we’ve got the people, tools and infrastructure to share our thinking globally. In this role, you’ll be at the centre of philanthropic fundraising for the School.

Who We Are Looking For

• A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and, ideally, experience working in higher education
• A strong track record in face to face fundraising
• Evidence of an entrepreneurial attitude and a proactive approach to fundraising
• Great communication and stakeholder management skills, at all levels
• Experience working with and managing volunteers
• Ideally, experience working with Raiser’s Edge
