Job Purpose

To make a substantial and positive contribution to the project: Teaching Excellence Initiative: Enhancing Assessment and Feedback. Specifically, the job requires expert knowledge in the area of learning, teaching and assessment. The post-holder will also be required to make a leading contribution to the formulation and submission of scholarship and funding proposals as well as make a significant contribution to the management and direction of this complex and challenging project. To provide academic leadership and management associated with the initiative, and engage in rigorous enquiries into learning and teaching practices. To actively engage in relationships with external stakeholders that advance knowledge exchange, public understanding and outreach.

Salary will be on the University’s Research and Teaching Grade, level 8 or 9, £42,418 - £49,149 / £50,618 - £56,950 per annum.

This post is fixed term for 2 years in the first instance.

New entrants to the University will be required to serve a probationary period of 6 months.

The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Universities' Superannuation Scheme. Further information regarding the scheme is available from the Superannuation Officer, who is also prepared to advise on questions relating to the transfer of Superannuation benefits.
