Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Advanced Methods for Waveform Inversion

We seek an outstanding postdoctoral research associate to participate in a project to investigate full waveform inversion methods for imaging the solid Earth’s subsurface. This project is part of a collaboration between the University of Edinburgh and Total Research, and the position would be based dominantly in Total’s Research Centre in Aberdeen, U.K. The successful applicant will conduct research into elastic imaging and inversion methods for quantitative reservoir characterization and time-lapse (4D) monitoring in complex geology.

This post is full time, fixed term for 36 months. The position will start as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
