Lecturer in Statistical Data Science

The salary range will be Grade 7 (£38,581-£41,864 per annum) or Grade 8 (£43,023-£50,753 per annum). Appointments at either grade currently qualify for an additional market supplement of £7,000 per annum (to be reviewed every 2 years), inclusive of London Allowance.

The post-holder will be expected to conduct original research in statistical data science, and to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in statistical science. The post is open-ended and is available from April 2018.

Candidates should hold or be close to submitting a PhD (or equivalent qualification) in statistics, or a closely related field. It is essential that the successful candidate has research interests that resonate with those in the Centre for Data Science, a proven record of ability to carry out high quality research in statistical data science (including evidence of success in publishing in suitable journals), the ability to construct and deliver lecture courses on topics relevant to the needs of the Department, and excellent communication skills.
