Research Officer in Bio-physical Modelling

The School of Ocean Sciences invites applications for a full-time, 30 month research position in hydrodynamic modelling contributing to the INTERREG funded project ECOSTRUCTURE. The scheme has been part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Ireland Wales Cooperation programme.

Candidates will have a PhD in an area of ocean modelling, applied mathematics, or computer programming and be experienced in developing ocean models over a range of scales.

The appointee will join the research group of Dr Simon Neill and Dr Peter Robins, and will benefit from working within a dynamic and productive research group including a number of PhD students, post-docs and national/international collaborators.

The successful candidate is expected to commence 1st March 2018, or as soon as possible thereafter.
