Postdoctoral Research Associate in Microbial Fermentation / Biotechnology

We are seeking to appoint a researcher with expertise in Microbial Fermentation/ Biotechnology who will be working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in a fixed term (18 months) Innovate UK funded project, at the Department of Food and Nutritional Sciences. The aim of the project is to develop a bioprocessing platform for the conversion of an insect-based substrate into high value functional feed for aquaculture.

You will have:

  • A PhD in a relevant area
  • Skills in Applied Microbiology/ Biotechnology
  • Ability to work with Small Scale Bioreactor Systems
  • Knowledge and experience in Microbial Fermentation and Enzymology
  • Knowledge and experience in Downstream Processing
