Faculty of Arts Research Impact and Knowledge Exchange Manager

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Research Impact and Knowledge Exchange Manager in the Faculty of Arts. You will be the Faculty champion of research impact and knowledge exchange, providing specialist expertise to embed the understanding of research impact, identifying potential impacts and supporting staff to disseminate their research to a wide range of communities. You will capture evidence of impact and formulate impact case studies. This evidence will be used to promote the Faculty’s research and aspects will form part of the submission to the next Research Excellence Framework (REF). You will also play a key role in the management and development of partnerships and the framework for knowledge exchange on behalf the Faculty.

You must have at least a first degree in an arts or humanities discipline or equivalent gained through other qualifications or experience. You must have experience in a senior administrative role within a higher education environment with detailed awareness of research funding policy in the UK and overseas. You must have excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills with proven ability to develop narratives to describe the outcomes and benefits of research along with the aptitude to determine and capture the evidence needed to substantiate impact. You must be able to work in partnership with academic and professional services staff and to build and nurture effective relationships with a range of external stakeholders.
