Product and Audience Development Associate (KTP)

Package including: Salary from £23,000 up to £27,000 dependent on experience plus £3,000 personal development budget + benefits

Full time fixed term contract (18 months)

The Role:
This is a key role within Serendipity Artists Movement Limited, which will support its ambition to become a leading diversity-led performance arts organization in the UK. The successful candidate will design, test and develop novel creative technologies resources that s/he will use to develop new markets and audiences for the organisation. This will involve exploring its extensive archive of resources as well as working in collaboration with performance artists to create new forms of cultural content, such as virtual reality and game-based content.

The key aims:

  • Explore archive and new creative materials to develop innovative forms of digitised content for commercial and training applications
  • Develop new routes to market for creative content, including digital, web-based, virtual and gamified applications, working collaboratively with artists/performers, business partners and other organizational stakeholders.
  • Build new and further develop existing audiences for digital resources and embed new strategies of engaging audiences into the business model
  • Support staff development and business practices to facilitate sustained financial independence for the business.

Candidate Profile:

  • Graduate with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in creative technologies, arts management, creative industries management, digital arts, digital design or similar
  • Experience of using creative approaches with social media, web, mobile, games to support marketing with target audiences
  • Practical and commercial experience of working in the arts sector, whether voluntary or paid is desirable
  • Ability to develop and manage a variety of professional relationships with creative and cultural industries people
  • Self-motivation and time management skills with a commitment to high standards of working
  • Empathy with the creative arts and interest in the development novel creative technologies applications for commercial uses
  • The post-holder will need to pass DBS checks.

Serendipity is a diversity-led organisation which works in partnership with mainstream organisations to host quality, culturally-diverse creative programmes across the East Midlands region. Serendipity’s track record of working in the performing arts with venues, producers, promoters, performing arts and media companies and directors, reflects the demographic profile of the UK. The organisation is seeking a graduate with relevant practice-based and academic experience to work closely with researchers from the Institute of Creative Technologies at De Montfort University as part of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership scheme.
