We are pleased to be advertising for an Intellectual Property Manager to join our Research and Enterprise Division on a permanent basis. In this specialist role, you will protect, manage and promote the University’s intellectual property assets. We will rely on you to provide professional support in the management, identification, patent prosecution, licensing, marketing and reporting of the University of Leicester intellectual property portfolio.

As the post holder, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day management of IP at the University and acting as a principal source of expertise on IP for University staff and stakeholders. In addition, you will provide support to enterprise activities and manage IP to the University’s commercial advantage.

As the successful candidate, you will join our team with substantial experience of IP management, protection and commercialisation. It is essential that you have in-depth knowledge of the patent process and understanding and experience of the role of IP in successful commercialisation of IP. In addition, you will have experience of IP management in a university environment and high level expertise in IP policy and practice. This role requires an individual who has strong project management, negotiation, influencing and presentation skills. We look forward to receiving your application.
