£27,285 to £28,936 (PhD not awarded)
£29,799 to £38,833 (PhD Awarded or equivalent industrial experience)

We are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Research Assistant/Associate with experience in the testing of electrochemical materials in metal air non-aqueous batteries and systems to work on an EPSRC project on electrolysers.

You should have been awarded or be soon to have a PhD related to electrochemical science or engineering or a relevant related field; with the experience in fabrication of materials for and testing of electrochemical non-aqueous batteries (Li, Na, Mg, Ca or Al) and have a record of high quality publications in respected scientific journals. Experience on synthesis and characterisation of electro-catalysts and batteries; with the knowledge on techniques for electrochemical analysis, chemical-physical analysis is highly desirable.

You will have good project organizational skills and will have the ability to work to deadlines. You will also be able work as part of a team and follow procedures.

The post is available fixed term until 30.09.2020.
