We seek to recruit a Lecturer in Genomics/Bioinformatics. The post is open to a talented, interactive and highly motivated researcher to join the expanding Genetics Centre in MCS, with affiliation also to the Institute for Infection & Immunity and to the Institute of Medical and Biomedical Education. The successful candidate will contribute to research analyzing and interpreting human disease and microbial genetic data, and to related teaching and student research project supervision across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. S/he will also integrate with the newly created SGUL Bioinformatics Unit.

The position provides an excellent opportunity for career development in a new multidisciplinary Unit, within a dynamic and growing university collaborating with a major teaching hospital.

The role is permanent subject to probation, and available full-time. Applicants who wish to work less than 1.0 FTE on a pro-rata basis or take part in a job-share will also be considered. 

The salary for the role will be within the SGUL 7 grade: £39,992 - £47,722 plus £3,027 London Allowance (pro-rated if part time).
