Summary of Job Purpose and Principal Duties
Applications are invited from Diabetes & Endocrinology specialty trainees with outstanding potential to develop into a clinical academic leader. This post will provide clinical training in Diabetes & Endocrinology, and General Internal Medicine, along with an excellent opportunity to develop a research portfolio.

The post is part of the Scottish Clinical Research Excellence Development Scheme and is available to candidates who already hold an NTN in the relevant specialty. The successful applicant will be expected to transfer to the East Region of the Scotland Deanery, and will hold an honorary clinical appointment as a Specialty Trainee in Diabetes & Endocrinology.

The lectureship is for the duration of remaining specialty training, i.e. up to 5 years, and the post holder will spend 20% of their time developing a relevant research programme. Research activities will be based in the University of Dundee’s Division of Molecular and Clinical Medicine at the Ninewells Hospital & Medical School site.
