We now have a Fixed Term Lectureship in Artificial Intelligence available within our highly regarded School of Computing Sciences. The School’s current research areas include graphics, vision, speech, machine learning and computational biology with an increased emphasis on Pervasive Systems, Internet of Things and Cloud Computing.

Appointees will be expected to engage in high-quality research, will have an outstanding publication portfolio and a sustained record of external funding; and will be expected to actively contribute to core Computing Science teaching courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including core Artificial Intelligence modules material as well as material related to their research specialties. Appointees will also undertake supervision and advisory roles at both undergraduate and post graduate level, and engage with a range of relevant administrative activities to support the School.

You will be expected to have a minimum of a PhD in Computing Science or cognate area linked to Artificial Intelligence, have experience in teaching Artificial Intelligence, and be able to fulfil all essential elements of the person specification. 

We particularly welcome applications from suitably qualified female academics as they are currently under-represented in senior positions within the School.

The full time post is available immediately on a fixed-term basis for 3 years.
