The Department of Sociological Studies has an exciting opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills to join our Teaching Support Team.  The post holder will be responsible for the administration of the Department’s undergraduate provision as well as a range of teaching-related administrative processes which support this working closely with colleagues across the Department, both academic and professional, and with central Professional Services colleagues. This includes managing timetabling and room bookings; module selection approvals; liaison with key academic leads (e.g. Director of UG Studies, Programme Leaders) and students; and the administration of all key teaching-related processes such as assessments, examinations and Examination Boards.

You will have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, strong IT skills with a proven ability to learn new IT systems quickly and be able to prioritise your own workload. In addition, you will hold 5 GCSEs A-C or Grade 9-5 or have equivalent experience.

Previous experience of working in an administration role is essential, preferably within a Higher Education setting.
