Research Associate in Sensors and Offshore Robotics The School of Engineering, as part of The Edinburgh Centre for Robotics (ECR), University of Edinburgh, invites international applications for three full-time Postdoctoral Research Associates (Grade 7) in Sensors and Offshore Robotics to join the new EPSRC funded Robotics and Artificial Intelligence(RAI) hub: ORCA Hub.

These three Postdoctoral Research Associate positions will contribute to the ORCA Hub within the Institute for Integrated micro and Nano Systems, and the Institute for Energy Systems in The School of Engineering at the University of Edinburgh, and in collaboration with colleagues in The School of Informatics as well as at Heriot-Watt University, Imperial College London, Oxford University and Liverpool University. The successful candidates will play a leading role in developing novel sensor systems and proof of concept robotic systems for underwater manipulation in the dynamic environments found in offshore energy.

These fixed term posts are full time and are available until 31 March 2021. Appointments to the post(s) will be made for a minimum of 12 months, with the potential to extend to the full term following satisfactory performance reviews. Longer term appointments for exceptional candidates will be considered at the offer stage.
