PhD Studentship

University of Nottingham - Sociology & Social Policy

The School of Sociology and Social Policy at the University of Nottingham is offering a full-time PhD studentship covering a maintenance stipend of £14,553 per annum, and home/EU tuition fees of £4,183. Funding is guaranteed for three years conditional on satisfactory progress, starting from January 2018. Applications are welcome from both home/EU and overseas candidates, though fees will only be paid up to home/EU levels.

Applications are invited for any area of sociology, social policy, social work, or criminology offered in the school. Please note, successful students will be asked to contribute to teaching during the course of their studies.

The application deadline is 07 January 2018.

Candidates should submit a standard PhD application and indicate that they wish to be considered for the school studentship. Awards will be made on the basis of academic merit and the research proposal.
