Research Assistant in Data Science

We are seeking to appoint on short notice a research assistant with experience in data science or related disciplines to support the development personalised nutrition app. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to research in data science and dietary behavioural change. The project is part of the EIT Food KIC [] of which the University is a leading partner, making this an attractive opportunity to engage with European academics and food industry partners. The post holder will be situated in the School of Agriculture Policy and Development which also has a big data centre for the whole agri-food value chain, Agrimetrics. There is a possibility for this post to be extended to two years.

You will have:

  • A postgraduate degree in computer science, data science, machine learning, econometrics or statistics degree or equivalent post-graduate qualifications in economics, health or food sciences with substantial professional experience in analytics or data science.
  • Knowledge of collaborative Topic Modelling and related methods that are used for recommendation systems.
