Head Chef

We are seeking to recruit a Head Chef for our in house catering operations at Staffordshire University.

Based in our main food court you will be responsible for maintaining food production and service at our food led retail areas, as well as food production for hospitality, corporate and conference activities.

You will be a real foodie with attention to detail and quality at the top of your agenda; you will be keen to develop the offer through research and have experience at leading a team to achieve high standards. Similarly, you will be part of the Catering & Conference management team and have autonomy to drive your side of the business forward through your people using your skill, influence, creativity and initiative.

You will have City and Guilds 706/1 / 2 or NVQ equivalent and be food safety trained to Level 4; ideally you will have had experience within a contract catering or further education background and have a financial understanding of cost sector catering.
