Fixed-Term Lectureship in Services and Sustainability (Part-Time)

We wish to appoint a part-time Fixed-Term Lecturer to contribute to developing a record of world-class research related to emerging trends in manufacturing commensurate with the Department's longstanding international reputation in this area. The successful role-holder will carry out duties concerned with teaching, research and administration. The teaching responsibilities will include contributing to undergraduate and graduate courses, supervising student projects (including industrial placements), examining, and supervising post-graduate research students.

The field of this Lectureship is at the intersection of services and sustainability, with particular emphasis on understanding the evolution of industrial systems and changing business models.

The successful candidate will be assigned to the Department’s Manufacturing and Management Division (also known as the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) (www.ifm.eng.cam.ac.uk)). The role will require a balance of teaching, research and administrative duties. For teaching, responsibilities will include contributing to undergraduate and graduate courses, supervising student projects (including industrial placements), examining, and supervising post-graduate research students.

The role is based at the IfM in West Cambridge, and the successful candidate will also be expected to play an active role in the operations of the Institute.
