Departmental Lecturer in Infectious Disease

The Department of Zoology proposes to appoint a Departmental Lecturer in Infectious Disease. This is a fixed-term position for 4 years.

The post holder will be expected to undertake research in an area of quantitative infectious disease biology. In addition to primary research, the successful candidate will be expected to run a series of second year computer classes on Infectious Disease Modelling and Control, as well as take part in other teaching and departmental duties. The successful candidate will have a PhD and research specialisation in the field of infectious disease biology, have a strong research and publication record, a viable research plan that complements or forms part of current research in the Department and have a strong understanding of infectious disease dynamics.
